    SOLD MS 241

Selling a MS 241. She has been rode hard but runs well. This saw was built 01/17 but was purchased in Oct. of 2017 and worked commercially till July of this year. Only thing that has been done to the saw is the spark screen has been removed otherwise the saw is stock. This is on the chopping...

    394xp was acting up

I busted out the 394 to cut a big log. It fired up fine but when I leaned on it in the cut it wanted to die. I hit it with the tach and screw driver and noticed it wouldn't turn over about 11800. I ended up tuning it to 11500 and it wouldn't die in the cut. Took it home and tweeked the tune up...

    Straight gassed

The 362 is half a yo-yo. I told the person they are still under warranty and I shouldn’t look at them they need to go to the dealer. That way they can hear how expensive the mistake was since it was user error. Then maybe I can try to salvage them for the person, if they want to go that route...

    How to mill this log?

How should I deal with the crack in the one log? As you can see it carries through the whole log at least part way.

MS 241 carnage and piston question

Little background; I purchased this saw for my business in April 2014 and it ran with a couple problems along the way till October 2016 at which point it failed in the middle of a job. I took a look at it that afternoon and diagnosed a failed flywheel bearing. There was flywheel coil contact...

    Given a locked up 12mm 044

I was given a "locked up" 044 on Sunday. It is a 131 serial 12mm saw. It is the one in front, my 10mm 044 behind it needs crank seals. Happily I noticed the issue with that saw right away and did no damage to the saw. The free saw has an aftermarket jug on it. I thought it would be burnt up...

    MS 241 is toast

This is my business saw so I am not the only one who runs it. Anyway I fired it up today for the first time in awhile and it sounded awful. Funny noise on the flywheel side. Took the cover off and the bearings are gone on the flywheel side. The sound was the bearing noise as well as the flywheel...

    Golf cart?

So I was given a 1994.5 Ezgo Medalist gas golf cart. The person had bought a Gator and the cart had been sitting in the barn for a year and they asked me if I wanted it. Well it has an engine so yeah. It was delivered yesterday yeah they brought it to me and runs flawlessly. Everything seems in...

This used to be a Cummings tapper cover gasket

Now it has basically turned to coal. Talk about a pain to get to for a 5 min. replacement.

    Tsumura bar ?

Is this a thing with Tsumura bars? 36" bar on my mill. Been a few months since I used it. Looks like cracking of the clear coat and some rust starting.

    SOLD Very Nice 10mm 044

I will likely regret this but up for sale is very nice example of a 10mm 044 with a KS cylinder. I already own a well used 10mm 044 that is my go to saw. I bought this as my back up but it is too nice and fully stock and I have only run it in wood once. Everything looks to be OEM original. It...

    Paslode framer not firing

I thought it was the big O-ring having gone bad. So I got a rebuild kit that included O-ring, spark plug, etc.. Well it wasn't that. I replaced the spark plug. Battery is good. Green light is flashing. Fan comes on. New fuel cell. You can smell fuel. Anyone have any ideas?

Signs you are a chainsaw hoarder

I hit a new one yesterday. I looked on the shelves for one of my 10mm 044's and saw another 044 and didn't remember that I had a 12mm 044 as well for like 5 mins. It was literally "what saw is that?"

What are you cutting with today

Let's see them. What saws are you cutting with today? Beautiful day here sunny and going to be in the 60's. Primary 372, backup may take down a larger red oak that is on the list with the 064.

    Timing advance on a 10mm 044

I did one and and the saw doesn't seem to like it. It doesn't pop or kick back but it doesn't like to idle. It is really hard to tune at idle. I set it back to stock and it idles fine, re-advanced it and the idle is poor again. Also the advance doesn't seem to have improved performance. Would...

    Poplar

I need a new trailer deck for my 20' goose neck. I talked to a couple band mill guys about cutting me some poplar for the decking and then it is going to be pressure treated at a local treater. He said he would do it for free since I do a lot of business with them. Anyway neither of the band...

    Milling saw mods

What all have you done and what have your experiences been? I would think a muffler mod or adding a second port to a muffler would be good for a milling saw. I have a 394xp for milling and it got a fresh piston, base gasket delete, cleaned up the exhaust port due to a thick layer of carbon...

    Honda GX 160 Carb.

Anyone have any experience with the one HLS sells? I have one on a compressor that got some water in the fuel tank and now the idle is not good. Guessing oxidation in the idle passages. If not I have already ordered one for $16 as well as an AM air filter and plug and will provide a review.
