So I was given a 1994.5 Ezgo Medalist gas golf cart. The person had bought a Gator and the cart had been sitting in the barn for a year and they asked me if I wanted it. Well it has an engine so yeah. It was delivered yesterday yeah they brought it to me and runs flawlessly. Everything seems in order so not needing to do anything to it I am considering a lift kit and larger tires.

Anyone have experience with this?

Dumb luck pure and simple.

I don't know what I am going to use it for. I know if I am going to keep it it needs bigger tires for around the farm and that requires a lift. I know someone with a lifted electric cart. I need to go over and check his out and check tire size and what looks to have been done to his. Cause there are $80-100 kits, $250-300 kits and $600 lift kits. And it looks like you get what you pay for but what is the best bang for your buck?

Definitely would help to check one with a lift out. I'm pretty sure a golf cart should be like a solid axel truck. Couple options would be a block style lift and make some shock extenders so you can reuse what ya have. Or springs and new longer shocks. I'd probably block lift it and get some longer shocks myself as you're not gonna treat it like a quad. I used to make a lot of golf cart parts for people when I ran a 2d laser but all I got was a drawing not sure where everything went.

Rob,

I was up your way today running the Rivanna Ring trail around Charlottesville. I will get you a picture in the AM that my buddy has, you are welcome to come down and take a look. My rollback is there so you can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Here's a few of dad's. The lift is just a 6" spindle and flip kit from eBay and I built the rest. If you want any info feel free to pm me or ask here. A great resource for info on these is buggiesgonewild.com.

Honestly large tires won't help much but a Lil top speed on smooth ground and they get tippy too. I used many on the res. And my favorite was the old yamaha with stock tires it was fun on grass and would also drift a corner if needed. Jmo
