Somebody has a couple addictions![emoji41]here's the angry bunch......44/46 and tree monkey 064[emoji123]
xpUOTE="Canadian farm boy, post: 44240, member: 309"]I've always been a stihl guy, but I have to admit these high top huskies with the full wraps and big spikes are really starting to look good. Someday I might have to take a walk down the other side of the road just to see the view if you know what I mean.
@Ron660 thats a nice looking saw.
Awesome saw man. U wont regret itI very well may have a 550xp some day... We'll see.

Hmm. I did not know that. Still, not nearly as soft as a Ponderosa pine.Naming[edit]
The common name honors David Douglas, a Scottish botanist and collector who first reported the extraordinary nature and potential of the species. The common name is misleading since it is not a true fir, i.e., not a member of the genusAbies. For this reason the name is often written as Douglas-fir (a name also used for the genus Pseudotsuga as a whole).[2]
The specific epithet, menziesii, is after Archibald Menzies, a Scottish physician and rival naturalist to David Douglas. Menzies first documented the tree on Vancouver Island in 1791. Colloquially, the species is also known simply as Doug-fir or as Douglas pine (although the latter common name may also refer to Pinus douglasiana).
I did not either ,i think Randymac brought it up one time it was in the pine family ,yes it is much harder than regular white pine .Hmm. I did not know that. Still, not nearly as soft as a Ponderosa pine.
I haven't done a side by side. I just dropped that tree, made a couple bucking cuts, and noodled a little. I am impressed by the power, though.Well I know it does not have spring AV, but how does it run compared to your 7900? Are they close? And, it should be lighter (but not smoother).
Do you need a poulan 5200 parts saw? I've got one. I'd let it go real cheap plus actual shipping....My favorite to use is my red light 066 but my favorite to look at is my dad's old 4200 and 5200 poulan.
