323.jpg My longest shot on a buck was @292yds, on a little 5pt scrub buck. This guy was @40yds. The 85gr Sierra I was shooting uot of my .243 actually shed its core, it was going so fast... Not the biggest rack, but symmetrical and he dressed out about 120lbs of meat or so. I had been in the field roughly 30 min, hunting with my Wife's cousin, on Her family's farm ground when he strolled by.

Just whacked this guy yesterday morning. Kinda funky on the one side with his main beam splitting at the base.
Nice fat guy though, he had been eating well around some farm and crop lands.

Nice muley [emoji106]

Retirement buck!

That's what my wife said! Not a chance, sweetie. I tend not to take bucks unless they're pretty big and mature. Never understood the guys who would pass up a big mature doe in favor of a 110 pound four pointer. The young bucks are ridiculously easy to hunt in my experience, the does both young and old and the old bucks much harder.

I could sit here and like everyone of these pic cause there all nice bucks in my book

That second one looks like a pretty big dude, how much you think he weighed? The second largest deer I ever took had puny and malformed antlers but a big mature body, well over 200 pounds. I did an antler mount on him, will show it tonight.

Only happens here if they want meat and don’t have a doe permit which happens more often now since we have a healthy population of wolves. Get a doe permit maybe every 3-4 seasons
