Worst sprocket rim I've seen

I like to wear stuff out before I change it but damn This is off a 272xp I have been tinkering on it's mine but I haven't yet run it in wood My new rim sprocket came in and I had a few minutes the chain tangs were actually digging into the splines under the sprocket Thought I'd share this one My rim sprocket is jax max or jak max not sure of it's origin but came from the ebay seller that is pushing the archer brand bars and chains the rim is true and round other than that I'd guess a rim is a rim?

Yeah, I just got a new 3/8-8 tooth rim sprocket from Sunbelt. It also says Archer on it. We'll see how long it lasts. By the way, DAMN that thing is wore out!!

I hate to admit, but I have seen worse. One on a 365 came in that split in half and then cut the clutch drum driver apart. Some operations make money in spite of their best efforts not to.

Had a batch of 026's come in that were so worn the chain was actually binding on the rim. It didn't help that they had a party mix of .325 and 3/8" chains they were using on those .325 rims.

And in the Spur category, we have this entry: Traded for a Poulan 1800. Fellow couldn't get the 52DL chain to tighten. He went and bought a 51 DL chain.

Changed one on a guys firewood saw, said "the chain keeps binding up". The sprocket was near cut in two pieces, was the original that came on the saw in 1983. After I showed him the problem he says, "gee, wonder how that wore out so fast". SS

I have also fixed a Stihl MS 460 that suffered the same malady. The saw operator kept tightening the chain until it cut right through the needle bearing and was working on the drive shaft before he woke up and decided that something was wrong. Gasp!

Looks like those sprockets don't owe anybody a thing.
Definitely got money out of those.
