Fuel is pooling in there isn't it?
Ya cant fix stupid!I talked to the saw owner about what he used for oil, ratio, fuel. how he liked the saw when it ran, things like that.
stihl white bottle, 50;1. he liked the saw but it never idled right. said it only lasted about 50 hrs.
I don't think he retuned it when he got. my first thought was bad tune or air leak and it's lean scored.
Most peeps dont know how,,,, lean mix , lean scream! My biggest fear........
If I have logs laid out to buck, and I run either of my 288's fer 5 hrs,Some people think 50 hours.....and it's really more like 5.
Unless your a logger it would take many many years for your average wood hack to put 50 hours on a saw.

Most firewood cutters don't cut firewood all day most everyday,a pickup truck load can be cut on a tank or 2 of gas but most loggers here burn a couple gallons everyday.I was always under the impression that it took a lot longer to cut a tree into 40 18" pieces than it did to cut it into 3 20' pieces. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
