I stand by what I said about the saw. I feel bad that Tree Monkey got stuck with a bad build. In that respect he turned it into a teaching moment. I did not miss that. As far as the banter, I needed a good chuckle and decided to play along. T-roller can be pissed at anybody he wants. He is a straight up guy no shame in speaking your mind as he and I have.

we all start some where, I wasted lots of parts learning. I learn more from what doesn't work then what does.
True dat!

You best pray that AS never shuts down, then you'll have nothing to *b-word about or pretend that you're somehow better than. Eventually you might figure out that this site needs to be able to stand on its' own merits and not be compared to AS every 30 seconds.
This site needs no comparisons. It stands up just fine on it's own, period!

Meh.......we're all grown ups here. Nobody needs banning.....yet.

We are all grown ups? Right?
I wonder... debatable but not with me. Not a dog in that fight from me. Each to there own

Pretty sure Randy made a thread about this comparing to AS just the other day. I also remember you posting something like this site is like as cause people beat around the bush too much. Seems that's what your doing here. I don't like Jason and I have no problem saying it. That doesn't mean I'll harass him every chance I get. It also doesn't mean I can't learn from him. Sometimes it's better to just keep your mouth shut and listen but if you haven't learned that by now I guess there's no hope. Some of us would like to learn without sifting thru all the bull *s-word. I know this post will only give you more fuel to throw on the fire that's why it'll be my last on this subject. If you have anything else to say you're welcome to pm me if not do us all a favor and just move along

I'm not refereeing a damn clusterfuck here.

Plain enough?

Ive been using .030 solder and going .017 to .020 on small cc and .020 to .025 on big cc
If you spin it over 3 or 4 times it gives a better reading. I use .030" most of the time. .014" is about .009" with plastigauge. I run a 372 like that for a tank or 3 bucking some maple. It lived. No touching but the burn pattern didn't look right so I checked.

What size palstigauge? Do u grease top of piston and plastigauge all 4 sides , assemble cylinder and tighten, then spin over 3 to 4 times, disassemble and then measure?

Brad is building a 346....and minding his own business. He sent me pics.
What, no build thread from Brad? Why not?

Trying to keep an open mind. Plus I'd like to learn from one of the best.
Good

lol, looks like i'm getting a raise in pay.:tmnt:
Oh no the moneys gona go straight to your head. :-)

I don't think you could knock the smile off his face with a ball bat.
That's a down right win.

Wtf. We ask you to remember one thing and you blow it again. Dissapointed. I thought we warned you one last time?
I *f-word up everyday. Get used to it.

And yes, I did learn something. Thanks TM
Last page now wish me luck

And that's what caused the funky idle.
Not the ring, but the squish clearance or lack thereof.
