Who we keep as friends does indeed say something about ourselves. And to find out a friend is a thief is probably the worst feeling of betrayal. Has nothing to do with fundraisers.... just another good warning to us all as to who we choose as friends.

For him to blame you is rude beyond compare. I'm sure your gut felt sucker punched enough when you found out how badly you ( and the rest of our community for that matter ) had been betrayed. No need to pile it on by some random dude. So sorry man.

I used to donate so much of my time and any funds I had to help people. But the only thing that happened was...they wanted more, or claimed I was holding out, or I wasnt putting forth enough. One is not truly required to do anything. Just had enough of doing for others, it's high time I look after my own.

Some people genuinely need help, while others need either a kick in the ass or a kick in the head. It's not always obvious at first what type of person you are dealing with. I try to do what little I can and rarely ignore a request for help. Sometimes you get taken advantage of - such is life. But, basically, don't let the dickheads turn you into a dickhead. Take notes and move on.
