thats some funny stuff there....

I drove my Plymouth( ram actually) by the Lady Liberty the other day....
LOL!

Dad was born in the Bronx, and lived there until 11, when they moved to Westbury, Long Island. I was born in Plainfield New Jersey.

I guess that makes you a "Damn Yankee" !!!

Plainfield has changed a lot.

Not true. A Damn Yankee is one that moves south and stays. I find this discussion hilarious. As a rural northerner(barely) who was educated in the rural south I can assure you there is very little difference and the real thing recognizes each other rather quickly.
One of the most hilarious moments of my Southern acclimation was when a resident of one of Memphis's more upscale suburbs referred to me a a "Yankee city boy". I now work for a large Fortune 500 company that Iis southern based and many managers are southern. I delight in reveling their true socioeconomic backgrounds.

Southern born, southern bred, when I die I'll be southern-dead.
Enjoying the discussion though. Mom is from Souf-Karoliner and dad is from Norf Karoliner (you gotta get the dialect right) that explains it all. The family tree has not yet fully been divulged.
I know that none of my ancestors swung from their tails, but I am not sure that some did not swing by their necks.

Beautiful where you are. Nothing better then that clear cool cedar water that comes out of the Pine Barrens for swimming in the heat of summer where I am.

Yeah,but you left out Cowtown.

Welp, I'm gonna weigh in on the Yankee thing. I just gotta.

I work on saws that belong to people from all across this great nation. I've not seen a bad Yankee, nor a bad Rebel yet. I see Americans. I see men that work hard for their money. I see good men that respect each other.

I've encountered two guys that were a complete pain in my ass, and one of them has become a friend. So, out of about 1000 different men I've done work for, only one single guy was impossible to please.

I reckon Yankees, Rebels, east coast Conservatives, and west coast Liberals are all just regular American men that want what they pay for.

Now, the reason we don't have political discussions on this site.

See what just posted about us all being everyday guys that respect each other? That would go straight out the window if we talked about politics......
