Funny that nobody has noticed the blue piston

Blue pistons are best like blue oil is better than red. They are fancy pistons. I seen one this morning on my way to bed.

I've never seen that before.

I've seen skirts coated before on sleds but not on OPE stuff.

I had a buddy do the tops and skirts for one of my sleds one time because he was doing a set for BBC at the time.

The wiseco from Chris are coated like that as well with a different color coating.

Its some kind of aftermarket piston, just about the entire thing is coated, its not OEM, I am sure of that.
Not exactely sure where it was made, CRS has hit hard these last couple of years.
I was told a few times, but either I cant recall, or I just let it go in one ear and right out the other ..................... I cant remember

Full restoration on a Mall 7 g.
PPG candy apple red was the closest match to factory color.
Exhaust caps off a Mall 6.
Working on the oil pump now, then I can install the tank.

tonight my 090 sawmill engine decided to start misfiring massively, like it gets a spark every 5-10 revolutions. it does have an aftermarket points and condenser setup so I suspect this is the culprit. anyone know how easy it is to swap over to electronic ignition?

Trying to get a warranty coil on an MS261. Can't seem to find a valid part number.
Also working on the fuel system on an FS81.

look like your going to have to call stihl tech on that one. will you let me know what they say

Stihl 440 on the bench. I rebuilt this saw a year ago for a guy that builds log homes. Said it doesn't want to start and has no power. All of his saws look like this. I've told him atleast 50 times to keep the filter clean. Still doesn't listen. So I'll just keep rebuilding them I guess. Job security. Lol.

Wise guy ayy.. lol he doesn't like saws that always roll over dot dot dot
I asked if he ever tried husky, said he just doesn't like them. I let him run my 7910, he did like that. I don't know what else to do for him. I'm gonna send it back with the hlsupply white filter and give him a couple extra. Maybe put a pre filter on it.. idk
