The building is actually a pole barn style built with a floor in it. 3 runs of 2x8 joist under 8' long, 3/4" advantec on that.....then 1x6 oak.....topped with 3/4" hardwood. We sawed most of the lumber. The flooring came from a friend who does hardwood for a living. He sold me a huge pile of it for 250.00
You put the 3/4 oak 1x6 over the advantec to have more beef to bolt equipment down to? Joist spacing a bit wide?
The reason for it has been living in my head.

We build a lot of automobile engines....and need a floor that's stout enough to roll an engine stand around on.

I wanted to kill some time, but not get too crazy deep into a saw, so I decided to pull what I think is the second stage fuel filter off of my Prentice-Reed (Craftsman) 1200B chainsaw and go through it and give it a good cleaning. The Dremmel got a bit of a workout! The old gasket is looking pretty good for being 78 years old, but one o-ring is shot, one is in good condition but is stiffing up and the two flat rubber rings are quite stiff.

The fuel filter mounted to the fuel tank, uses a bale to hold the lid down, this o-ring is not happy.

With the four bolts removed, the unit and its gasket come off.

Everything is apart on this and time to start cleaning and looking for new o-rings. The rusty stuff will take a bath in some Evaporust.

Everything cleaned up and polished for now and a new gasket is ready too (the blue one is my cardstock template). I cut out a second gasket that I can use while working on this unit and save the other for the final fit.

Rings are likely stuck too.
Surprisingly, they weren’t. I pushed them a little bit with a pick to see if they wiggled. Now it has a fresh carb, fuel lines and filter too. Running it on dominator. Also, the piston was clean except for one patch from carbon scoring. The rings looked smooth and clean too.

Once, as a kid, I rode a moped and it completely stopped starting until I unscrewed the exhaust pipe from the cylinder 😎 Look, because you haven't seen this Russian invention 😉 Ours was blue 👍

Was hoping the switch I had was a match.☹️ Starts up, but I can't hear the centrifugal switch do it's thing and it keeps pulling enough amps to flip the breaker.

I found such an engine here 🤠 110 or 220V with this centrifugal switch / we don't have such patents. Interestingly, it has sliding sleeves

I slathered the centrifugal and it seems to be working now. Pump cleaning and new gaskets she might be a runner.

I like these old twin cylinder compressors.

The connection instructions are in French, so it also has 220v, although it is from the USA
