Most any automotive gasket material can be used.

Cheerios box, not so much.

No, pin that lever rides on is staked into the round metering chamber cover. No spring in the kit either... Could use one of those also.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about now. The pin wouldn't be included nor would the spring. Zama is about the only company that includes the spring in their kits. I'm still thinking I've bought kits for those that included the metering lever. At any rate I'll look around and see what I have especially since I worked on a Super EZ yesterday and still have my parts strewn around the garage.

If the super ez is beyond economical repair I would be interested in the carb off of it...
I have been looking for a metering lever assembly for a while for one...

Not wanting to appear stupider than I am I'll have to say I took the saw apart because it sounded like it was loose inside and looked at the mains, rod bearings on both ends and all were tight. I then noticed the saw had a loose flywheel. I could have saved myself much work if I checked the flywheel first. Just sounded like a loose rod. I tightened up the flywheel nut but still haven't tried to start it..

Got this old girl going today swapped in a new China carb and it was running very well. It was holding 9-10k in the cut on 10-12" ash.
Seems like a good runner

Didn't start on it yet. Tomorrow. Just hung it there to see how much laid on the ground.

Tell me you told him $8.00 on the phone. :risas3:

Might as well if been joe. Doin that 96 and the 59 next to it for 60. I assume it'll be all of an hour with rakers. The 96 is one of those granberg rip chains with the scoring cutters. Shoulda told him 100 haha.

Did a poulan 330 to local guys order today. Opened up inner baffle, put a gill on front cover side for dual port. Took a K095 bar 3/8 050 72dl and elongated the bar tensioner slots for oiling. Also so he could use his 72dl chains from other saw.
Then set a little fat around 12.8K with a 13.8K oem max setting.

Worked on the 038 Mag, new used c/p with a little port/polish (just dropped the transfers down, widened and flattened the floor of the intake, slightly widened the exhaust and opened up the exit of the port with a good polish) and sealed the jug down with no gasket. Squish is at .042............ WTF?

96" chain on the grinder. Just stupid. Didn't quote a high enough price to sharpen.

View attachment 118049

How much did you get for it?

I do 60's for someone He ask me to square file it by hand one time and I told him I would send it to someone with a square grinder. That he didnt want my price for hand filing square. :risas3::risas3:
