Looks like my next project is another MS290. Received it as a parts saw and the biggest thing it needed was the engine cradle which is almost all the saw. Thanks to Warped 5 I have one coming in the mail. I still am missing a few minor parts but I'm sure they're here in the shop somewhere..I also have the clutch cover coming from China.. I'm not sure on this one which way to go with it, 390 modified or just put it back together, the original piston has a few minor scratches but not bad..

I can't remember when or were or who was showing it but when the piston was at the bottom of its stroke the skirt was blocking the lower transfers some. It looked like an easy clean up could make a big difference there.

Gave back the 440 to the guy that builds log homes and he gave me a 261 and 260 thst need fixed. Same problem as always. Filters plugged and clutch cover packed with pine sap and dust. Think he needs to invest in a air compressor.

Boot for the Strato port was pinched, I would guess that's what killed this one.
