Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Took the 441 to the shop and cleaned every part of it. Man was it filthy. Took almost an hour just cleaning it. Also wrote all the parts down that I need(I think)....so now I wait for parts. Forgot to bring the saw home today so I could get pics of the pieces. lol Will do that soon.

Had to do something today, neightbour gave it a steam wash for me :)

My easy plan where to swap seals, new ring, new clutch drum, and a few modds.

Even it looked great through the muffler it wasn't ment to be a great purchase...

Ring half stucked on one side, I'm not sure where to go on this saw, because I don't like this uneven wear

Check how undersized the piston is to the bore.

good idea, I somehow plan to go to the bottom of the case also, its pity that an nice looking saw get killed by lack of maintance + dull chain.

Gilardoni top end Tor ?
yup, decomp jug with the two long bolts. 1992 week 46.

I got a sneaking suspicion that some folks clean up a cylinder and then sand down the piston and slap new rings in. I've tore down a couple lately with ring wear, funny piston wear and nothing on the jug. Checked with the calipers and they're like half a mm or more under.

This 064 has a non-decomp Mahle 066 cylinder. I built it several years ago before I started putting flat top pistons in them. @Mastermind sent me a mandrel several years ago and I used it to cut .040" out of the squish band this afternoon. It's now sporting a new OEM piston and is making >180 PSI after only a couple minutes of warmup time.

I'm all about saving a good saw, but that looks Terminal.

It's only the pto case half
Palm tree rot
The rest of the saw is good to go

Once I bolt the new case half on it will be fine.

It's was funny how the owner handed it to me and asked if I could check if it would be reliable
