Nothing on the bench
Yes just drill them from the back. Just drill far enough to remove the flared end. Order new rivets from your dealer! Nice job on that saw buddy! What's the best way to get the metal badge off old top cover. Drill the rivets out? And can I use just regular rivets to put it back on??
Thank you sir!!! It's turning out pretty nice. I baked the paint after it dried. Pretty hard now. I always wanted one that was black and white. Then I saw yours and really wanted one. Finally got all the parts for my 066 painted and dyed. Got some of it assembled. Hopefully tonight I can get the rest of it put together. Have to wait on a unlimited coil and flywheel til it gets here.
I will never post a picture of my work area again. May give you heart failure. You must not repair chainsaws, but do surgery on them.Yes they stay on the bench how long they need for the repair , no more, then the tools in the place and the bench clean its simple
I have an extra and an extra seal somewhere to put into a normal 6203 bearing. I just ordered a 2nd gasket set and need to go to the bearing place and grab a couple 6203 for flywheel sides. I have a bunch of 6202 here. I got lucky and found a 6203 yesterday.

Are you trying to dye them orange? Or going from Orange to black? Mine turned out really n8ce. Covers were faded a good bit. After I was done dyeing them I took old 2 stroke oil from 25 years ago I found and rubbed it in real good. It actually drew some of the black off but left them looking shiny and black. Was pretty impressed with them.
