Came out nice and clean from the UC.

No BG delete on this saw! The squish was much too tight. Piston wouldn't clear with .021 silver solder on top. Got the carb kit in too.

Brand new Exmark Quest S 50" getting an HD Air Cleaner kit and a bagger.

Hey @Spike60 have you guys been selling many baggers? I have had a run on them lately, have an Ultravac coming in to put on a Radius X 48" next week and just sold two Navigators.

We sell a lot on the 60" Lazers. 1 out of every 4 machines. We've never sold a Navigator though. That style mower has never had any play up here other than along the coast; not even Walker. Baggers on Consumer Z's are much less frequent. Especially like on that Quest with those little laundry basket size bags. They make them small like that to limit the weight out back.

You wouldn't happen to have or know were to source an HD Air Cleaner setup for a 2006 JD 727A Mini ZTrak, 23HP Kawasaki would you?

.

If you can give me the model and spec number off of the engine I can call Kawasaki and see if a kit is available. More than likely it will be shockingly expensive though, the HD Air Cleaner flows so much more air over the standard setup it requires a different carb.

This is the strangest looking chainsaw I've ever seen.

No, but for real I hate people.

My brother told me the ac was out in his pretty much brand new truck.
He took it into a local shop they told him his ac compressor was bad. He then called me when they gave him a price tag of 600 for compressor and 200 for labor.

As far as the compressor goes I understand some shops are only allowed to get them from certain dealers that didn't really bother me.

So I had him clarify with them if they pulled a vaccum and checked for leaks. They swore up and down there were none.

So I asked if he wanted to come down this weekend I can get all the things in order and replace the compressor. He agreed and for 150 I got a new compressor and seals for everything. Still I'm in disbelief that a 2014 2500 diesel with 60k miles had a bad compressor.

Skip forward to now. I'm in my work shop cleaning up and preparing to get it over with. My father comes by and said he had a conversation with my brother and informed me the truck was blowing cold air after he put refrigerant in it. I'm just like hold the *f-word up. If it's blowing cold air then that means the compressor is working.

I'm pretty sure these guys were just taking him for a ride and there is a leak in system. I bet it's also the front heat exchanger since it's the most likely to get damaged.

I may also just say forget it reclaim what's in the system put some leakstop and recharge it.

That really sucks. I loathe dishonesty/incompetence. I'd go more with dishonesty, as incompetence usually doesn't only favor the affected party.

A 441 C-M currently... with erratic running issues. Hopefully the 40$ solenoid I had to order fixes the problem or I’m converting this sob to standard carb! :loco:
Well the ported 441 is off the bench and on the cookie test pile! Since no one had any advice to offer here I had to figure this one out myself. Saw had a bogging issue (rich bog). I replaced the solenoid and rebuilt/cleaned the carb which helped a little. Next I ran the saw without the airbox cover to see if it was starving of air. That also helped, so I made a additional opening under the airbox cover and two small holes in the spit back baffle. I then adjusted the popoff with a different spring (stiffer one), then lowered the metering lever a touch... runs awesome! Hope it stays that way lol. The black fuel filter was swapped for a updated orange one which should help the new solenoid live longer. 91881C59-CD44-4D94-A3D3-93EA107333E6.jpeg

I also reset the carburetor after each change I did, which is pretty easy to do. If anyone is wondering... start the saw on choke with the brake on. Leave it that way running for 1min 30 seconds, then blip the throttle so the switch returns to normal run setting. Shut it off right away. Restart and run it for at least 5 good cuts.
