It's spot on. The ones I see from a logging environment have had loose cylinder bolts, cracked base flanges, or the mufflers will vibrate apart around the screw sleeves. If Stihls survived that long I'm sure they'd have the same issuesI remember a post Randy made about 390s blowing out mufflers and spitting head screws loose on the saws he makes for loggers. Of course the intwebz flipped out hearing that, i thought it was a good tech tip.
Rodney had a 661 do that. But that baffle didn't stop it046 came in the other day with a retainer bolt rattling around in the muffkin. The baffle kept it out of the port, so no damage occurred.
Seems that the reality is that all brands will shuck a screw if used long enough.
395 all spiffied up, welded, straightened, flattened, painted and baked...oh yeah!
