Oh, no kidding. Did not know that.
I like walleye but it ain't my favorite.
I'd take bluegill or crappie over it everyday of the week. The walleye craze leaves more pan fish in the water for me😂
I take crap every day at work, so Zander is the better choice!

I don't fish myself, but I know people who do.
Funny enough they claim they rarely eat any of their catch and have their freezer(s) full.
It was free fish and it was tasty, I am not going to complain. ;)

I had a neighbor who used to bring me fresh fish and venison now and then, and id give him eggs and veg now and then. Not really barter, just "Here you go, buddy!" I'm too lazy to hunt and fish, and he's too lazy to garden and raise chickens, so it worked out. Country economics at its best!

That is awsome! Such a huge fish! I've only got to see those caught on TV. That right there is a bucket list trip if ur in to big catfish. 90lbs of pure muscle fighting back. Rush of a lifetime!

I would rather have crappie than any fish I've ever eaten.

That is what I said until I had walleye...

I went to a fish fry a couple sundays ago; crappie and catfish. I gave the catfish the nod. found out it was caught the day before so it was fresh. With that said, if you fix it, I will eat it; I am not very picky.

Never has walleye. Here we only have bluegill, crappie, bass, catfish and about 30 minutes north, trout.

Friday a coworker & friend handed me a plastic crate full of bags with frozen "stuff", just said "take this, do whatever You want with it, keep the crate".
He did not tell me what was in it and me not having been home all Saturday I just crammed it into my freezer Friday evening upon coming home.

Today I took it upon me to check the crates content.
Everything being frozen I could only determine what is raw meat, cooked meat and veggies.
Since there was a bunch of raw meat with bones I picked half of it out including the veggies, and repacked the remaining raw and cooked meat and placed it back into the freezer for next weekend.

It turns out the meats I kept out for cooking are pork ribs, lamb ribs & beef.
The veggies were paprika, carrots and cauliflower.

I wonder how does one freeze various meats without labeling them?!

Oh, I also got a frozen Zander (fish).
But that one will have to wait for its turn to be cooked.
