Tried a different Johnsonville flavor, and some butcher shop brats.

Both made for a good tasty meal.
I'll have to have a ear of sweet corn for desert after the consumed brats settle a bit more.

How do they compare? I tried our local butcher shop's brats. Honestly, I like the Johnsonvilles better. The others were good though.

They were good, however this version from the butcher-shop seemed a bit light on seasoning for my liking. They were labeled as black and blue flavor. I'm real glad that I added some smoke chips to add some needed tasty-ness.

Did some grilling last evening.
Again tried some different brats.
Some beer brats, they were just OK, and them some Aldi cheddar brats that were good enuf that they will get picked up again.
And then a thick cut ribeye.

Morning bishes. Rolling a pork butt overnight and threw a chuck roast on at 6 this morning. The pork is for the weekend as the wife is going out of town with her family. The chuck roast was hit with meat church fajita rub and I’m hoping for shredded beef tacos for dinner with it.

IMG_5135.jpegIMG_5136.jpegThe chuck is done shredded and sitting in the juices. Should make some great tacos or bowls or whatever we decide to do with it. Im very pleased so far with the flavor. Let’s see how it is after soaking up the flavor of onions beef broth that is was cooking in.

Donny what thermometers do you use? I use mine for the pellet grill but they are not accurate. Mainly just use them as a guide and then use an instant thermometer when I get close.
Thermopro temp spike. I use it about every day. It’s been solid for the last 9 months. I got it for about half what they’re asking now though on Black Friday.

I preordered a new charcoal pit several months ago. It just got delivered yesterday so I thought I’d break it in with some beef back ribs…IMG_4599.jpeg

I love how he wears his black gloves and squeezes all the juice out of the meat 🤦🏻‍♂️. The internet has ruined people.
