Bingo!
Your supposed to use a white lithium!
Duh!! Thought errbody knowed that
Ive been using astroglide, seems to work ok

I bought a 5 pack of aftermarket 026 seals. All on one saw they were all tearing like that. They would look perfect and pass vacuum testing but rip after first start up and piss rev. After the third one I bought a set of OEM and haven't had a problem since.

I have put in a lot of seals Doc, but that is a new one on me. All I ever use on seal install is oil on the seal lips, have never seen one rip like that so my vote is a badly made seal.

It could be a defective seal for sure. As a fan of the 1125s I'm curious---
Here's an oem (I think) bearing depth w seal intact. Yours looks about right as you mentioned the oil pump used as a stop.

AM 1125 seal. We use em and like em. We have noticed some variations of seal depth (last pic) vs. other AM and OEM. Your seal was probably the correct size.

The needed oil parts--- there's a small chance of the washer/sleeve binding and catching an imperfection in the rubber. But that washer is engineered to protect the seal itself.
