OK. I am lost. Dolly 6400/7900 have inboard clutches and are not considered pro saws?
You do realize it is all in good humor, don't You?! ;)

I have read more post claiming superiority of outboard clutches over inboard ones than I care to.
An outboard clutch design was/is always correlated to Pro saws - that always seemed to "trigger" me quite well and I had to say something when I noticed both Stihl's and Husqvarna's newest saw models featured the "inferior" inboard clutch design rather than the superior outboard clutch design.

I honestly can't care less about a saws clutch design, mine all happen to feature an inboard clutch design.
Coincidence? I don't care. :)

OK. Now I get it. Lol
You had me confused. Maybe I was lost on the wording. [emoji1787]
I gotta pop open another brew. Lol
I noticed You were a little off base. ;)

I should have called Your 6100 a homeowner saw but didn't think of it - after all the 6100 is an inboard clutch design saw too. :p

I'll pop open a beer now and watch some TV.

Cheers :beer-toast1:

Since you’re only into work saws, that makes total sense... Fugg fast saws. Slow and steady wins the race.
And You still have enough work left over to continue cutting the next day!

I can buck up my own firewood requirements within one day, I'd be even faster with ported saws - what the heck would I do the other 364 days of the year?!

Unless One cuts cookies in that rare to find square wood species You guys have on the other side of the pond, ported saws will reduce the duration of the feel good moment of running a well tuned saw.

Or increase the amount of times you get that feel good moment per day.....

There not THAT much faster. I’ve beaten ported saws with a good chain at a gtg.

Agree'd! Same amount of time running said saw but much more wood cut in a day.
I have a fairly fixed amount of firewood logs to process annually.
Cutting faster does not help me get more run time on my saws. ;)

@huskyboy , I think we pulled the correct trigger.
Bad mouthing ported saws triggers OPE members! :D

Your missing the FUN FACTOR Wilhelm. Like I said, you'll never know what your missing unless you try one.
Just keep running your stock saws. Leave the ported FUN stuff for us. [emoji106]
