We’ve burned up 4 saws at my F.D because guys start them leave on high idle and leave the brake on and walk back to check more stuff on the truck. I try to tell them not to even bother with the brake when doing morning checks but they won’t listen.

Canned 50:1 I can’t get our current small engine guy to come off 50:1. I walked away from small engines when they asked me if I minded an older guy, that knew nothing about small engine at all and was trying to pad his last 2 years checks to bump his retirement up with easy overtime, taking over. “That’s fine have fun”

The problem is they burn up the clutch side of the saw. I’ve ended up with and repaired 2 of them because of this. Sold one a while back gonna build the current one up for my dad.

Yeah, this is a site where people share information. We don't know it all, so we share what we know and then get some great information from people that have 'been there, done that' - so we don't have to make the same mistakes.

It just 'triggers' me when someone wants to turn the site into a 'social media' site where they just crap on, and on....
