The top edge of that piston almost looks melted a bit. Now......the muffler. Based on all your replies, it takes a heavily loaded ope engine to burn this robust oil. I've never worked it hard b4 this. You guys can be the judge if this was adequately loaded for the intended purpose. Test will continue using this exact protocol. Your doing a fine job, I find all the results informative.

Again thank you for doing all this.

Sometimes too much of a good thing can have consequences...
Klotz original @32:1 carbon scored.

I had to put a top end on a nice ported 372 that Klotz original fried about 10 years ago. I won't run the stuff, it's for alcohol and race engines, not a true work saw IMHO.

Here's my thumper - 450 Marlin
When I said I like me a thumper, this was my last bike. With the Honda power up kit these put down 49.7 hp to the rear wheel and had torque like a mofo. Like walking speed in 2nd gear, crack the throttle and it would just lift the front wheel type torque. Not violent like a 500 cr, but lift. Anytime you needed / wanted the front wheel in the air it would easily accommodate your right hands request. This thing made my Honda XR600 feel like 350 in comparison. Anyway, sorry for the derail. Just hard to forget the "glory" days of 80-90 mph blasts down fire roads and 2 tracks on state / federal land. And yes, the 650R would do 99 mph without gearing change with the power up kit. Anyway.....

As a kid I had a CR-80 and used belray MC-1 oil. I still remember the blue color and smell. I still have a desire to own an older air-cooled 2-stroke like a Maico spider 490.

If I still rode dirt bikes and ATVs, and they were 2 stroke, this is definitely an oil I'd not be afraid to use. But no riding for my broken body and if I could, they would be big bore thumpers. I love me a thumper.
Yeah true, laugh if you want but my all time fav playbike is an XR600(r) Nice plushy seat, torque everywhere.

I expect to find a wet bottom end again.
We’re expecting you to keep this about the trimmer, we don’t need to know if you’re a soggy bottom boy or not, that’s personal ................

Keep up the great job you’re doing !!!

I predict a dry crankcase
