What oil is best? and what ratio?

We have a predator engine we put on a log splitter and it has been 1 tough SOB I am impressed, you don't expect a lot from a motor you paid 90$ for. Thing has been left out and mistreated friend ripped the muffler cover off because it was rattling, so now if you don't cover it up the cylinder fills with water, had to pull spark plug a couple times and flush it out. Thing has never missed a beat it runs like a champ.

im using vp oil right now i kinda like it but the price is high.

I'd use Saber over 800. 800 is too thick for a saw for optimal performance

800 does nicely at 50:1

i don't see a problem with motul 800 my lawnboy can burn it with out splooge down to 20:1.
but it is under a constant load.

I never see anyone around here using any lawnboys. If someone cut my grass with one I would pay them extra for the cool factor.

it doubles as a skeeter repellent also.
