What oil is best? and what ratio?

I was declared a idiot when I mentioned a properly tuned motor should show a piston covered with a light layer of carbon with a bit of wash where the ports discharged. The "my piston is bare metal crowd just couldn't grasp it!

I must be an idiot too. That sounds right to me.

Theres still alota folks that think the piston is supposed to be clean or I should say they want it clean and they jump through hoops when they see it clean and think they found a better oil?

I don't really know all that much about two strokes, but here's one thing I do know: Some guys can come of as being quite a prick and all the while they're just trying to help folks out. Others just come off as being a prick. Internet or real life, it makes no difference.

Me, I'm kinda interested in this oil thing. So, I read this thread every now and then. YMMV.

I'm sure it's great. It's FD certified and says so on the can. It is crazy expensive for the amount of fuel I go through,but the few containers that I got of it when I bought my 580 blower and 562 worked well as near as I could tell.
