Well?? How did u like it?

Well.....it worked. I didn't use enough of it or pay much attention to really give an opinion. Quite honestly i just mix it and burn it i don't go much farther than that. I can't remember the last time I pulled a muffler or spark plug to see what my oil was even doing.

The primary reason i like red armor is because of the dye. I have ran just whatever the gas station on the way to the woods had on hand. No failures. Is red armor more expensive?.... Sure it is. Saw related expenses are minimal on our books. I would rather run what a saw builder prefers. At roughly 5 gallons per day through a felling saw, i feel that it must be decent oil. Recently worked a deal with a local stihl dealer on b&c oil, $10 a gallon for platinum. More expensive than super tech? Yeah it is, but chains don't stretch as fast and bars take longer to develop bur's... It's all in the application. Any of you polisher's want to loan me a 90cc saw for a week?.....
Red dye is the same color as off road diesel here ,not sure if i would want the same color mix as the diesel if i was not filling up the machines .

Just give it a smell or use the correct color cans. If you have helpers make sure they have half a brain and mix color won't matter.

Red Armour has pretty decent ingredients, I am not too surprised its sold at the retail price it is. It certainly could have been produced at a quarter of its cost but not with the quantity of quality stuff. You don't always pay for what you get with oils but its contents of PIB and esters do cost money. I don't just care about what's in an oil....more importantly what's not.
Many oils have the same ingrediants yet don't cost an arm and a leg.
Let's say for a moment the stuff is totaly worth it's price and the performance is awesome. To me I still wouldn't use it on a disposable tool that cost less than a thousand dollars. You could run a decent air cooled oil like Citgo Air cooled or Yamalube 2R and buy a new saw with the savings in pretty short order.

When i am not there and someone is on the phone asking me which can to use ,if i say it has blue fuel ,i sleep a lot better ,my diesels use red off road fuel ,plus all my cans are red ,i have recently stated putting diesel in black cans to make it easier to tell though .You and me can tell diesel from gas by smelling it ,but not everyone can for some reason .

Yea I know the feeling I am wont loan out 2 stroke equipment without enough fuel mixed to do the job they need it for. Had to many strait gas or doller tree mixed gas failures to want to risk it. It's funny too because most of my cans are marked and labeled for its contents as well as ratio. I even have certain cans for pwc and bike gas. I'm a bit nutty as I'm the only one who uses them unless I send mix with a saw or other ope.

My self being a small business owner, I prefer to give the local small guys my business. I know it may cost more however I hope that when I need something they will be able to keep their doors open. So I buy the best they carry. Dolmar synthetic from one and red armor from the other. If they start carrying some of those you listed in sure would give them the business. Heck I now manage the local Husqvarna dealer and still buy from the other guys. It puts the biggest smile on their face.

Both of the oils I mentioned, and there are others, are available to me locally through small businesses. That's how I prefer to purchase them as well.
That doesn't change the fact that the price of Red Armor is insane.

I bought 38.4oz of Red Armor for 26.99. Thats about the same price as 1l of 800t , K2, or H1R. That will make 12 gallons at 38:1

I agree that it is very expensive. I also have no way to say if it is any better then the Dolmar synthetic I use for half the price.

Years ago, I was using Klotz oil. I mixed it in the red gallon jugs. I was fixing to top off a trimmer and when pouring I could not tell the gas was mixed. Looking in the red jug, I could not tell if the gas was mixed. Under the circumstances, I poured that gallon in a mower I had at the time. Mixed a new batch and proceeded on.

The mower had about a 4 gallon tank, so that gallon I poured in was mixed with more gas. Long story short, that mower for 5 or 6 tanks later still smelt like Klotz when using. To this day, I still wonder for such a diluted amount, how did it last so long? Thinking back on this, it may have been the super techniplate which has castor oil, I believe.
