i got a free stihl fs 130 r what oils do you think i should run? 2 stroke mix has to burn differently in these 4 mix due to the use of valves.
im thinking the red armor would be a winner in it along with husqvarna xp im sure as hell not going to use stihl oil.
im NOT going to use outboard oil in it.

As of today Stihl does not have any certified oils. I checked the list this morning which was updated on 8/1/16.

#201 on the list is Stihl HP Super

Yup, Stihl oil is certified or was in recent past for sure. I think the dealers got sore heads explaining to customers why the most expensive full synthetic ultra had a worse rating than the cheaper semi synth. I believe Ultra was only offered after the release of 4mix technology which says something about what oil Stihl engineers at head office believe should be run in their standard 2T engines.

On that trimmer @jake wells I'd run saber at 50:1. Maybe 40:1 if I planned on a serious hard workout. If that not a option use citgo aircooled. Or the sea and snow from citgo or mystik. I'm real happy how that stuff runs and it's super cheap. I buy a case of 12 qts for ~55$.

I still believe good advice for 2T oil is to find something that performs well that you can buy locally and stick to it. Changing oil every few tanks has inherrent problems in itself. You make the decision based on first hand experience, not what was written on an oil bottle. There are many examples of the same oil sold under different labels with totally different claims. Find a good choice & stick to it.

stihl saws

You can always justify another saw.

Your kidding right? This is a oil thread. Sensibility will not be tolerated here. :argue:

Then you end up with guys running boat oil and castor oil..
Find a Jaso FC/ FD rated oil and stick with it. If that's not available Husky XP or Echo Power Blend are both great oils and a viable nearly everywhere.

Page 362 and you fappers are still at it... Red Armor at 40:1 FTW. If you dont agree then don't waste your time telling me how it isn't good oil. The hours on the saws tell the tale.. Oh but i haven't taken a cylinder off to inspect one yet.... LMAO
i only take mine apart either and red armor is hard to find here so i run powerblend or husqvarna oil.
