What kind of #@%*!# hack?

Stock new chain, or did you file the depth gauges? Looks like it's doing at least as well, maybe better than a 661, hard to tell though cuz a 661 with 8t rim and a new 28" square skip with the depth gauges filed a bit really moves through wood. What size was that log?

It is a new stihl chain. Rakers are at about .030
I was putting a heavy load on it most of the time. I haven't measured the log but the core of it is the type of hardness you get from a dead standing diseased tree that's maybe been through a fire. It's brutal on chain.
It needs more break in time and maybe a little less compression. The carb will get changed or modded too.
I'll be getting back into it early next week.

Nice Jim. It was tough on my end to hear the engine stroking. Seems like a real high revving saw there.

There at the end it was tuned up there but still 4 stroking pretty good. Not a work saw tune by any means.
