My friend swears by a Turkish made commander 1911 .45
I'll have to try it out.
I've only shot a ruger commander length that was accurate
All the other commanders were soso accuracy wise.
The Turkish cz clone's I looked at yesterday seemed very well built.

The Kimber aluminum frame 1911
Is cheaper here at 599.00
The glocks start at 700.00 for the gen5 now.

I can believe it. The owner of my usual shop hasn't had a centerfire Glock in 2 months. He says he would rather not carry them than order from the price gougers and have to pass that cost on to his customers.

That's honest but to raise the inventory that's on hand
Makes me mad
It's already been delivered at a price
Then they start changing the prices.
I saw bridgeport equipment do this and
Several gas stations in the past do this
When hurricanes or derecho hit.

The questions seem to be broken sentences. I'm not being sarcastic or talking down.
If you could rephrase them, I'd like to understand the need.
Okay.
In a 9 mm pistol for home defense and the choices are a Springfield or Canik firearm. Which would you choose?
Excuse my butchering the King's English...I was super multi-tasking.

Seen several Canik reviews, those were good reviews. I'm not personally familiar with Canik (as in -- in my hands).
Which Springfield 9mm are you looking at?

Biggest problem I see is, no guarantee Canik is going to be around in the future for extra mags and parts whereas Springfield probably will be.

A valid point. As crazy as things are now -- I can't imagine how it will be if things get worse.

That's why I choose Glock for my mainstay handgun. Not because they are perfect- far from it in fact! Parts and mags are available everywhere to the point that you can create a Glock pistol with no Glock parts at all. It's the Chevy small block of firearms.

Been checking the whole line up, yet this one sticks out the most.
Not worried about parts shortage, as I have several pistols to rotate and a couple of buds who are gunsmiths if anything warrants. Besides I always get a minimum of 4-5 mags per gun.

Any rental ranges near you to try them both?
I had a canik tp9 v2 great shooter and a very good trigger.
My friend pestered me until I sold it.
They were only 300.00 last year lol
The xds .45 I shot was accurate
But it was recalled soon after my friend bought it.
The xd by far is more popular here I see a variety in store's.
So mags holsters and accessories are readily available.
But they are much more expensive than canik..

This one is set up for a suppressor...if you have no plans for a suppressed pistol, you might consider skipping the threaded barrel and running a regular set of tritium sights

A few years ago, there was a poly frame version of the Tanfoglio TZ-75 aka EAA Witness for well under $300.00. It was a real Tanfoglio but not made in Italy, I wanna say it was made in the Philippines?
