What is the easy way to clean up case halves/saws?

never let magnesium soak too long after its run cycle especially overnight - I ruined a crankcase, it was all powdery white when I took it out the next day
heat and clean in the USC and then thoroughly rinse twice and dry, apply some WD40 as appropriate

I usually send mine to a guy named Mike, then he just puts it in his US cleaner. This case has to be repaired before it is blasted and powder coated.
I wont rule out that there may be one in the future, but I can't see into your crystal ball from here
