I have four 50cc saws in various states of disrepair, one NOS. No hurry to fix any of them. When I lost my 60cc saw I got right on replacing it. Any thing my 420 Dolmar can't handle I go 60cc or bigger.

I have been a Husqvarna/Jonsered guy for years, but I got a good deal on a heated handle saw(Dolmar 5105H)and couldn't pass it up.
It is now my prefered 50cc saw and I dont say that lightly. The 5105 has more speed and torque than my Jonsered 2152, is noticably smoother and has good ergonomics.
I love the on/off/choke control lever. The filtration system is not as good as the Swedish saws, but is way better than my old Stihl MS260.
My opinion is that the Dolmar is a well designed and built saw.IMG_20150625_183325_005.jpg IMG_20150625_183325_005.jpg IMG_20150625_183343_476.jpg

Have a 346 (actually rebuilt 353 with new NE 346xp top end) and it's nice enough but for hard hardwood I prefer a 357xp or for dead hardwood a ported 261c, they just have bigger balls, yeah should probably get it ported but...

The 261 has excellent air filtration in fine dust and runs same bar and chain as 362/461 if needed

I'd like to try a dolmar someday but I've never seen a saw or even a dealer in the wild, though saw a makita once years ago
