If you wanted to get creative you could use air over oil hydraulics .In my shop I have an American-Joyce auto hoist which is air over oil using a 13.5 inch cylinder .60 PSI of air will lift a pick up truck. Nothing to clog up like a pump .
Simple enough to adapt a pick up line going to the bottom of the drum then an air inlet.in the smaller bung, blowing in air to pressurize the drum .Like grandma always said there is more than one way to skin a cat .

Marine Mechanic. I can't tell you how many GPM that pump is, but I can tell you that it was most likely a steering pump in it's former life, and it was old and beat up when I started there in 1999. It will empty a 32 gallon sump in 3-4 minutes if it's reasonably warm. Can't even begin to fathom how many oil changes have been done with it over the years.

Along the same lines but not oil related .Aerobic sewer systems inject air to sustain the break down of sewage . Those factory units can cost up to $450-$500 .The air injector pumps once used on automibles coupled to a 1/3-1/2 HP electric motor will do the same thing and at most if you don't have the parts already cost less than $100 .I've made several of them over the years .It's that old box you need to think out of .Necessity has been said to be the mother of invention .

I am going to have to do some calling around next week. Delevan says on their website not to use their roller pumps on flammables but I believe that is just a CYA deal.

Either I missed it or no one asked.

What length hoses for in & out are You looking at/needing?
Usually the inlet hose needs to be kept reasonably short, while the "pressure" hose can be longer and preferably larger diameter which will reduce flow resistance.

40-50 liters/minute (10.5 - 13 gallon/minute), 2 meter (6.5 feet) inlet hose max (shorter is better), 15 meter (49 feet) outlet hose
This particular one was about 25$

I had to try that pump, never used it since I bought it.
The supplied hoses are junk, too short, too soft - the inlet (suck) side hose just collapsed upon itself.
Replaced the inlet hose with a sturdy hose of 2 meters (6.5 feet) length (1" OD, 0.7" ID) and gave it another try.
120 liters (32 gallon) of rain water pumped over in 2.5 - 3 minutes.
I powered the pump with a 500W drill, the resistance holding everything freehand was minimal - tie strapping the drill & pump to a short piece of board would most certainly do the trick.
Shortening the inlet hose may actually increase flow, I chose 2 meters (6.5 feet) to test the max length specified.
Cheap, simple, lightweight.

Now, someone might argue that water is not oil - and that is true.
I have some waste oil, but I am not going through the mess to test it quite simply because we use these drill powered pumps at work when replacing the 6-8 month old coolant in the mills which tends to contain loads of pure oil in it in addition to the emulsifying oil and a bunch of other impurities.

In pure oil just allow the pump to do its job.
Let it spin at a rpm that feels optimal.
Even in my water test running the drill at 2/3rds rpm (2600 rpm max rated) seemed to yield a steadier flow with less in pump cavitations.

Just a thought/suggestion.
I won't bring this up anymore.

Good luck.

Well frankly how you pump it really doesn't matter too much .Waste oil burning has been around in some form since there has been waste oil .During the great depression my grandfather used a drip system which still works today .The bigger thing is having access to a supply of black oil .I personally only know three people who use this system in one form or another .
Myself using synthetic motor oil in three road vehicles may only change oil once a year ,slightly less than 5,000 miles .Plus tractor and mower .So it takes me a long time to fill up a 55 gallon barrel .

Well there is relatively no pressure involved but the hose length might get long as in possibly 50 feet in one case. I need to move it from IBC totes and fuel oil barrels to 55 gallon drums and IBC totes.

A typical tote.

Of course a typical drum

Those I think 275 gallon fuel oil tanks could be found in nearly 3/4 of the homes, rural or in town in this area .These days if you find any they can often be freebies or relatively inexpensively .A lot of times they still are half full of fuel oil .Fuel oil heating for the most part has followed the passenger pigeon at least in this area .Quite frankly fuel oil heat became very costly plus it could become a general nuisance .

I do not need the fuel oil barrels but I do need 55 gallon drums. Places rarely get rid of them anymore because of liability issues. They pay a company to come get them and scrap them.

Oh I have done the entire craigslist deal looking for drums. What a joke. All I found was a few morons that were just playing games. One guy had excuse, after excuse. It went on for months. He always had some family "emergency" at the last minute.

As for pumps today I spoke with......................
1. Surplus Center. No tech knowledge whatsoever.
2. Delevan. Only slightly better but still they did not know much
3. Agri-Supply. Very nice woman but it was out of her wheelhouse which I totally understood
4. Hypro. A pretty knowledgeable guy but still not familiar with what I am needing.

I will keep plugging along.
