Doesn't it stabilize the piston at BDC?

Would be alot easier if I could cut it off.

If I'm careful, can probably take a saw blade amount off the base in one cut.
One cut with this it's very fast just have a good grip with your boot on top of it wear goggles or look away.20170218_152559.jpg

The best trolls are the ones where it takes a while to tell if they are being jack holes or just real dumb. Funny stuff always pops up in these threads though, take off a saw blade width...lmao

I'm glad you guys got your laughs. I'm cool with that.

I'm not a complete idiot, I can play along with the best of them.

The cylinder extension needs to stay, obviously.

I'm gonna rotate it carefully on a big piece of 2" dowel and use by band Saw. I'll block sand afterwards. Luckily, the tip of a sharpie is almost exactly 1/16". Makes for a handy guide.

Measurements shmeasurements, I just eyeball it so it looks straight, usually after a couple beers too. You don't need those fancy power tools - you can use a hack saw or even a sharp steak knife. I've even had success using large toenail clippers to take little nibbles around the base. Then finish it off with a couple licks from a die grinder to smooth out the edges.
