I decided to sort through some of the saws in the attic, the batch I have "circled" are all from the Oregon test saws. The tag on the one in the lower, left hand corner says "Electrolux McCulloch".

Boyd Dosher (Boyd's Outdoor Power - Dresser, WI) stopped by today and dropped off some Jonsereds saws, I believe these were prepared by the folks at Tilton when they were the distributors for Jonsereds in the US. I will need to prepare a special place in the display area for this group.

Super XL, looks good on the outside...it was so packed with oily sawdust that the piston and cylinder were cooked.





XL-123 Bad coil and leaking crankcase keeps this one from being a runner, but it is a nice addition to the display.

Very nice! I just think it looks weird with the Pioneer mixed in there. Otherwise, excellent!

The "Homelite corner" is actually my "Higby corner"...John Higby's OPE business was the last in a long line of Higby businesses in the area. I visited his shop a few weeks before he passed away from a stroke...he looked at me and said "I heard you're building a museum, get that saw out of here" pointing at the Pioneer so I'm keeping it with his other items. His widow gave me the display racks and this tool board, also in his corner.

#1 Do you grab those tools off of the display as needed?
#2 Are/were the ear muffs designated for special needs customers?

I have used a few of the tools when necessary.

The ear muffs were hanging on the tool rack when I got it so I have kept them with John's other items.

Headphones are cool, won't run a saw without them. I don't need to do anything that adds to the ringing and voices already in my head!!

I was way off base with my query. The saw chain in question must be the first in order of "the EVOLUTION of SAW CHAIN". The portion you showed of Your chain display is OUTSTANDING.
One of these days I would really like to tour your Museum.

I cleaned these two up this week.



The shelves are getting pretty full so we've started hanging them between the shelves.





The Lil' Jon and White 19 were also put in suspension today.

We also cleaned up this Von Ruden hydraulic saws, and an electric Mall and Remington. The Von Ruden is on a shelf in the display already.





The Mall and the Remington are very closely related.





I will put the plugs back on these two and give them a test run before they go into the display.

If that's the Mall I think it is, it did work as of a few years ago.
