If the "172" on the cover is written in Sharpe, try using a dry erase marker to get rid of it. I have had good success on plastic covers that people have written on and it just wipes off. May take two or three tries to get it all depending on the condition of the plastic.Titan 51
Very cool!My son posted this video on YouTube.

Philbert - Mike was not always consistent in his reference to the McCulloch Italian connections...

hasckaroly - those were written on the saws by the Oregon folks when they were conducting the tests, I am trying to preserve as must of that as I can.

Yep, I re-did the lines in my Titan 50 several years ago, it needs it again. I've put it off now for over five years....lolThe Titan 50/Double Eagle 50 and the Titan 57 models seem to have been pretty widely available here in the US. The fuel lines, impulse line, and oil lines on those models in particular were a real bowl of spaghetti, and were packed in there pretty precisely as well.

The other Titan models were much less common, including the Titan 7 variant of the McCulloch 300 Series models.

I will have to poke around in the attic here at the museum and see if I happen to have a Titan 560 or 620. I am also looking for a Pro Mac 72, one came up on eBay some weeks back but I just couldn't pull the trigger at the time.

That makes sense, I guess I didn't read that part in your original post. Pretty cool to have their test saws!those were written on the saws by the Oregon folks when they were conducting the tests, I am trying to preserve as must of that as I can.
Nice. I think I see a MacCat like mine.I decided to sort through some of the saws in the attic, the batch I have "circled" are all from the Oregon test saws. The tag on the one in the lower, left hand corner says "Electrolux McCulloch".

Boyd Dosher (Boyd's Outdoor Power - Dresser, WI) stopped by today and dropped off some Jonsereds saws, I believe these were prepared by the folks at Tilton when they were the distributors for Jonsereds in the US. I will need to prepare a special place in the display area for this group.

Selling naming rights? Now I really need to get the additional building...
Had a feeling you'd outgrow your building pretty quick.....Now I really need to get the additional building...
Pinch the cardboard sheet between two plexiglass sheets, that way it is supported and protected and the plexi will take the weight hanging on the wall.Turd Ferguson hooked me up with a guy selling this two man bar with a decal for the logo. There was some serious rust (pitted) in spots due to being stored in the cardboard sleeve under less than idea conditions. We cleaned it up as best we could, certainly nice enough to look at hanging on the wall.

I though the cardboard sleeve should also go up on the wall. Not sure how long it will hold up as the paper has become pretty fragile over the years. Must be old, Los Angeles had a two digit postal code...
