OK now before anyone decides to jump all over my azz I did use the search function. I am going to invest in a Vacuum/ Pressure tester.I do not require the gold plated model or the silver handled one. Just a decent girl to take home to my parents.Something that will work on saws.Cost is a contributing factor as I am on a budget. Thanks, Ken

The mightyvac 8500 is what I use. 65 dollars is well worth the investment.

Jon1212 (l think) had some plastic but decent quality mityvac pressure testers going real cheap in the post on the other site. l use the mityvac 8500 which is a decent kit with some bells and whistles but if you want a simple cheap solution that works, pm Jon everyone says he is very decent to deal with. From memory they were like $25 buck or something. You really just need one that works and need not be expensive/fancy but if you intend to bleed brakes and things with it, different story as you will need other components.

I've got a mityvac 8500 that's been rebranded to a Blue point. Probably paid way to much for it ($120 CAD)but at the time I really needed one. The nice thing with the mytivac is that they are serviceable. You can get "rebuild/service" kits for them. Or at least that's what my snap-on dealer says.

Watch eBay and you can get a nice used mv 8500 for about half the price of new. Nobody's gonna jump all over you for asking a legit question around here.

I originally bought one of the red ones that didn't have a pressure option. I ended up buying an 8500 because it does both

Just watch. I was in a rush and accidentally bought one that just does vacuum. Which is fine because it's now dedicated to brake jobs.

I've got one that does just vacuum that I would be glad to give to someone if they need it.
