OEM stihl slug ? will a Meteor 064 slug work ?The 181 jugs look like that stock. If you really wanna make that thing a beast- have an 064 piston turned down with a small pop-up. You can get 200psi out of it easily and it runs decent with the stock port timing.
I'm still interested in more info about the 064 piston too @jacob j. Monkey man said the 181 jug looked "OK" but wasn't worth porting over the new 288 top end. So I'm thinking I need to find another saw and put the 181 jug on it. Might as well play around since it needs a piston anyways.OEM stihl slug ? will a Meteor 064 slug work ?
Thanks, I did fatten it up after I listened back to this video. I'm still getting my ear for tuning and recording then listening back has really helped me.That is a pretty crisp tune. I run em pretty tight like that too. Might wanna give her just a little bit of high, very good running saw tho great job.
Lol, Yep , that's a brand new Stihl RSC chain which is sharp to me, but not sharp compared to most guys chains. I recon I'm gonna have to contract one of them fancy square grind chains just for videos......OK........I see you are like me. We both need to work on our chains. LOL
Work environment is exactly right and what the saw was built for, 7 pin drive, box stock chain, curly knarly worst case wood.To me that was a saw in a work environment. I'd like to see the torque we always hear about. Got a bigger bar ?
