And while I know the guy burnt his reputation to the ground, the Johns Custom Saws guy was entertaining and I appreciated his dedication to perfection. Probably why he burnt out.
As for Buckin', he's an ambassador, like it or not. He's def "far out, man" but that doesn't bother me. I enjoy some of his musings and his messages towards men working with their hands and body to make a living.

The people who like to burn way more fuel in same size small saw, especially tree service climbers who love to send the saw down more often for refueling.
Good question. I could see the technology getting a somewhat bad rep because of few saws that weren’t designed well. That being said, there are plenty of excellent saws that have it and run very well while burning a lot less fuel.
