Running a strato saw's biggest benefit is to the operator.

As for the person I reported, I will just ignore. That said, the internet is full of trolls inserting themselves into regular discussions that just derail. Was hoping maybe that was more frowned upon here.
You can certainly do that or you could unbunch your under britches. If you’re going to ignore Ryan over whats gone down here, you might as well just go ahead and ignore the rest of the forum.

Might’ve been wise to learn the lay of the land here before starting an internet fight. Hey you do you though. I doubt you’ll fit in very well without a serious readjustment of your expectations. Meow I have trees to go climb.

I guess you probably wouldn’t be the first to put Ryan on ignore but really not sure why you would. He likes to give people like a hard time like 90% of the people that are here after any length of time. If you need a safe space to talk about chainsaw weights and how much you want a pink husqvarna this place may be a bit brash for you. If not then have fun and dish some out vs letting the inner child out and finding a grown up to yell at Ryan. Sorry for calling woodpecker a grown up😁

I said I’m sure someone has put you on ignore before but not to worry I never will place would be dull without the variety of personalities we have. My skins way thicker than people thing and like we always said when I was working construction if they give you grief they think your ok. Need to be worried more about the ones that ignore you.

I understand, buddy. I get a little shy too sometimes myself. But then I remember that I’m Papa Squat and then everything is better. Papa Squat is more of a way of life than just a simple idea. I know that’s not the answer that you were hoping for, but it might be the answer that you need to hear. I hope this helps you on your journey.

I get it. It's just lately, internet discussions feel dominated by trolling. If you want to make jokes, post memes, fine by me. However trying to pigeon hole someone like he was me, eh, not gonna take the bait.

I just want to talk chainsaws and life around them. Feel free to disagree and throw a jab in. Not gonna hurt my feelings. However, bottom dragging for replies is not my style.

I recently started a side hustle that gets me cutting red cedar around 3-4 hours a week. It's an asskicker. In my spare time at the shop I work at, I do maintenance on my saws and fix other small engines/farm equioment. I love it. First time in my a while, I really am enjoying the journey.

This all started by a person who first bought a 4-stroke chainsaw (absolute *b-word to start) as their first, then moved to a ms170, then 026 and now I am rebuilding and calibrating autotunes.

Not bottom dragging on Ryan’s part but just friendly jabbing, he has absolutely no issues telling you what he’s thinking if he wants to no trolling for a response needed.

Spend some time in a workplace where things are settled with fist fights and not HR. It would be good for you. The internet has been dominated by trolling since I built my first computer in 1998. Get with the times, man! Nothing new here 😂

4 hours with a saw a week is great. But if you are concerned about emissions just remember there are many folks here that have been breathing it in for 12 hours a day 6 days a week for 25 years+. At your rate it will take you 468 years to gain that experience/number of hours. I did the math. Looks like you'll survive the fumes :D

Did you go crying to your superiors whenever you got offended?
Listen, maybe I offended you, but there's no reason to act like this in a forum that discusses chainsaws, of all things.

I was exposed to a lot of hazardous elements in the air during my time in. I am keenly aware of that kind of stuff now that I have a family and want to be here for as long as I can as healthy as I can. I know an electric chainsaw would never cut it (no pun intended hehe) in the environment I operate a saw in. I am often up close and in tight with the saw and breathing heavily because its hard work.

The strato-saw changes the game in that respect. It reduces the scavenging factor as I understand 2-stroke theory and instead makes it a more efficient and cleaner burning solution that reduces fuel consumption on top of it.

I have respect for all those who run equipment and the hazards they placed themselves in to do it. I am thankful at this stage is what I am saying. While I will run a conventional 2-stroke, it's not my preference and in fact, turns me off from basically 99% of echo's line up because they don't offer it.

Did you watch BBR on YouTube in the infantry, or was that only after you got out and discovered the #sawlife?

You seem to be under the impression that you have a right to judge what is and isn’t appropriate for this forum that you haven’t even been a part of for a month. Climb down off your uppity horse and stf up. The next time you decide it’s cool to infringe on someone’s liberty to post here you’ll be gone. We clear?

So now I'm being threatened with a ban?

Go for it. Later.

You must realize stratto or not it needs to meet pollution standards if it’s sold here, but you already know this because you understand two stroke theory.

Yeah, but in practice Echo's 50cc is what, 3HP stock? A 550XP mk 2 is 4.7HP according to Dyno Joe's run.

I know the 4910/501 can be ported for Power gains, but again, at what cost to overall fuel efficiency?
