Yep!! I could handle almost every piece of wood in the last 2 years with a 24” bar. 10% of the time I would have to cut from both sides, and 60% of the time, I would have 4” sticking beyond the trunk.

I’m surprised you pnw guys don’t carry two 395’s and laugh at anything smaller. Seems like every tree out there is 30”DBH.

30”? I cut that with the harvester still stuff big enough for long bars out here.

Most of the time I’ll run a 390 or 395 depending on wood and size. Our small wood I’ll run the 562 with a 32” bar on it.

If only 2 saws definitely 50/70. However I just don't like that idea and I go to my woods now with the 42/50/52/56/64 plan. Works good. If I can't cut it one pass with a 24 I ain't trying to split it.

When I was 19 or 20 I went to Coeur d'Alene once for a week long retreat. But my sights were set more on the women then the trees. I haven’t been west of the Rocky’s since.
Lots of timber and chicks here lol ohh and timber chicks lol. Im like 45 minutes from cda, nice area

Interesting concept, I would like to say that I would pick the 50/70cc pairing quite a bit of the time. However with saws from 35 to 100cc's sometimes things change depending on the job at hand. Just the other day it was 90/100cc day, this is quite rare to do though. Some days just one 60cc saw is good for the whole job, sometimes a good running 50 is all I really need, the time lost on a couple bucking cuts isn't worth packing in another larger saw.

34, 59 and 92cc here. Is that a two-saw plan?

By far, most of my cutting is with the 361, which is why I just ordered a kit for a second one.

As for the 660 – well, I'm also a fan of the Pig!

I’m definitely a 50/70 feller. When I go into the woods or to the log pile my 372 always comes along for the ride. The only variation is in my small saw, it’s either 254, 357 or 262. Which one of those three I grab just depends on what I feel like running that day, sometimes it’s all of them :D. They all do the job very well with a nod going to the 254 for being the lightest.
