You mentioned pulling the impulse line out further. Maybe it's still not out far enough. There's a groove in it to fit the carb box hole. It's not really adjustable

That is one possible spot for it still to leak, I don't have means to test that without an adapter. It feels like it's sealing well. What I did to snug it up was pull through the spot that's supposed to sit in the carb box groove one notch. I guess it lets some dirt in there potentially as it's not tight anymore but no other issue than that.

I'll test the saw tomorrow with no spark plug leak and see if the issue persists.

Did the new piston match the original piston that was in the saw? We're the skirts the same near the transfer ports.

Had the opposite problem with a 372, wouldnt lean out. Lever was the answer for that too.
