Intake blocks are a lot of work to make em right.View attachment 83281 View attachment 83280 View attachment 83279 View attachment 83277 View attachment 83276 Alright guys let's get this build thread back up and running. Mike is a really busy guy this time of year and wouldn't be able to finish my saw by the gtg so we decided I would finish it up. All the hard work was done by Mike already I just had a bit of fit and finish to do. First was to clearance the case for the big ass intake block the was installed. I ended up having to grind the case flush and also grind a trench in the block so the impulse would clear. Next will be drilling and tapping the holes in the intake block for the big ass Walbro WB carb. Last will be linkage which looks like I may have gotten lucky on.
Not a problem at all. It cleared and will work great.Intake blocks are a lot of work to make em right.
If I had to do it over I would've had you send me the whole saw. End result would've been better
Pretty cool. Mike just tapped into the crankcase but the bottom of the block was hitting the nipple.
The second to last pic you can see where I ground for the impulseGotcha
That's really nice
