Thanks everyone! Yea I was hoping to mill beams out of it being 20'long and knot free. Oak wilt is prevalent in michigan. My heart sank as I watched the saw chips turn from a pinkish orange to brown and black. Anyways it split like butter and will burn great. Thanks again for the warm welcome. Happy sawing!!!!

Echo running good. Getting close to the end of warranty and hoping to open it up a bit. Only hiccup I run into is if I don't release the tank pressure by opening the gas cap some the saw will flood and not start. Is this common? Happened a couple times. When I do crack the cap open it does release alot of pressure. I ASSumed with that much pressure in tank it forces alot of gas thru carb when trigger pulled. Also all my cs 400s rip great and getting ready to MM one

Think it's the opposite. Your tank vent maybe plugged. Also check muffler screen.

Wait, isn't that next to the left handed smoke shifter? Or was it next to the sky hook?

And if you are having trouble starting that diesel in the winter, just pour an extra bottle of amps into the battery!

And then there was the time we tricked the other Scouts into thinking you could sift salt from the stream for their burgers ... that was fun to watch!

Cut this elm yesterday on my uncles place, it came out full and pretty this spring then just died standing. He's about to put a house on his place and this tree was within striking distance so he wanted it gone. It was about 75' tall and a little better than 25" across the stump. Couldn't have done it without my helper. 20211106_161326.jpg

At a factory I worked at(book binder) we would send the new guys to the maintenance department to find the purple handled paper stretcher, then they would send them to another department lol. It was a good time for sure, but we didn't get much work out of them for a while.
