Right on man!!! Can’t wait to see you using it.Update, thanks to some extremely generous gentlemen on the site the 572 is well on its way to being in operating condition. The status of the piston was called into question and the decision was made to obtain and use a new one.
Words can't describe how thankful I am for progress and moving in the right direction. The excellence of those involved deserve recognition.
Ran pretty similar to a brand new xs572 at solsticefest. Here’s to hoping it gives you years of trouble free service from here on out.Well...the problem child is on its way home. It runs and doesn't have any problems.
Many thanks to @huskihl for his hard work and being willing to buy a few parts trusting I would pay him back.
Thanks to all that helped, I'll be putting it thru its paces when it comes in clearing a view for my father.
I am believing it will. I was extremely fond of it when it was first done, very snotty. I bought it to be one of my primary use saws so I could leave my others for occasional use and for gtg.Ran pretty similar to a brand new xs572 at solsticefest. What about the chocolateBoop...rice and beans not included!
My wife does not share her chocolate, even upon my request lolWhat about the chocolate.
She looks good, sure hope you're done with the problems now.
I understand, I know not to mess with the wife's chocolateMy wife does not share her chocolate, even upon my request lol
I'm going to use it well, I promise. My beloved father is woefully behind in what he needs for firewood...so I'll be using it for clearing a spot for him and bucking that up.What a roller coaster ride. Couldn't stop reading, needed to get through to the happy ending.
Impressive.
I bet this saw is about to get its legs stretched.
If it runs like mine a 32” won’t be any problem. That’s what I had on it this weekend, felling, bucking and noodling a couple big dead ash trees. Haven’t tried the 36” yet but don’t see it being an issue. I got some more to fell ill put it on thenI've run 3 tanks thru it since its been home. One cutting firewood and two felling and bucking dead ash and cherry for my father. 24" bar, with a chain nearing the end of its life...the chain is pretty stout and it drives it with ease. Next up is a 32 or 36 to see what it's really made of, just gotta go buy one...
Very cool, sir! Nice knowing it won't have an issue. I can be pretty ham fisted with it and it sure doesn't seem to mind. It may have had issues before, but it sure runs a peach now.If it runs like mine a 32” won’t be any problem.
