My weapon of choice this week has been the company owned and muffler modded ms500i. Its quite a machine, albeit a bit thirsty. I like it alot.
I work 7-6 most days, boss. When I get her packed up ill let you know. It will be soon, thank you sir.
Any updates on this? Thanks to some sickness, I took the day off. My lovely lady is sending the 572 out for me. Soon the saga shall end on a positive note thanks to the kindness and generosity of a couple gentlemen on this forum. Words can't describe how thankful I am.
Any updates on this?
It's in my shop right now. A very generous member here is fixing up a carb and a muffler for it.
I can say that the carb that came on the saw from the factory isn't salvageable. It's likely a Zama issue.
What’s up with the carb? Did it get ruined trying to remove the main nozzle? It's in my shop right now. A very generous member here is fixing up a carb and a muffler for it.

The main nozzle failed initially and Jay made his best efforts to repair it, but I have a feeling it had other problems that escaped him. What’s up with the carb? Did it get ruined trying to remove the main nozzle?
Did you find any issues with the metering lever height when you were in there?
Mufflers are NOT cheap for these. I think I paid 120$ for mine when it got ruined and I had to replace it. Couldn’t believe how much it cost when I saw the receipt. Some good people here helping Dominick out.The muffler is done. Just gotta flash the carb....

Not trying to shame anyone here by prying out the details of possible mistakes. that is not my intentionThe main nozzle failed initially and Jay made his best efforts to repair it, but I have a feeling it had other problems that escaped him.

It’s always inspiring to hear people Express their Gratitude in today’s World!!!!!!Jay and I spoke today and I acknowledged that it was not his work that was the issue with the saw. I did not expect him to be at fault to be honest, the man has always been nothing short of excellent to me as a customer and even more so as a friend. Other examples of his work I am in possession of have been outstanding and I feel he is in the clear on the matter.
I cant say anything but wonderful things about Jacob and Randy for everything they have done for me. For the guys that have donated funds and have been mystery friends...please feel free to message me, there is nothing that would please me more than to thank you personally and to lend recognition to you as well as any compensation or personal favors one may have available to make things right.
I am eternally grateful and proud to be a member of this forum. Weak and fruitless as my words may be.
I remain yours.
