Smokin!
Well, well Randy. Well done sir! I just came back from my step daughters rehearsal dinner here at the outer banks to find a video of my saw cutting wood like a fuc***g banshee!! I can tell you the grin goes ear to ear, and maybe bigger! My daughters marrying a good man and I get a smokin' saw. Life is good!! Looks real strong and cant wait to cut with it. Your a good man Randy!
Yeah, whats up with that!! I thought you would have put a 30" bar on that 262 and cut a cookie out of that square piece of oak you have!! He herandys wood is melting in the heat lol saw looks good randy
Well , now is the time to say what I think of Mr. Evans. No, I haven't run it stock. I have 2 other 262's w/87 carbs and KS cylinders so I know what they can do stock. I wrapped up one of them and sent it to Randy with the stock KS cylinder and a Mahle decomp cylinder for him to choose which one he wanted to port. This is when he had alot going on and his time was spent taking care of family, much less healing himself. Well, to make a long story short I dropped him an email about 2 months later inquiring about my saw and he called me to say he never recieved it. I found the receipt from USPS and found out that who ever was on the route had said they delivered it to addressee. Well Mr. Evans absolutely went crazy trying to find that thing to no avail. So the saw he made the video of he manufactured from his own parts and scrounging around this site. I offered to send him a spare case and another 87 carb I had around but he wouldn't hear of it. Said something about it was his livelihood and he wanted to treat me right. I didn't hold it against him that my saw had gone somewhere and I realize that sh** can happen. After all, we are dealing with the USPS. He almost got the saw done and I recieved a call the other day that he had spotted a crack in one of the case halves and he was going to tear it down, split the case and put another 1/2 in. Are you kidding me!! Really?? That to me speaks volumes about the man and his word. He DIDN'T have to do it, but he chose the path of rightousness in his mind. My hats off to him! I just hope that if I am put to the test that I pass it so handsomely as Mr. Evans. He not only gained a loyal customer but I gained a friend. My only hope is that I will be able to pay it forward in such a way that it will make him smile. Thats what I think of Mr. Evans. I'm climbing down now.....lolDid you get to run it stock Tom?
