I had a 1974 Power Wagon for a couple years. It would pretty much do whatever you wanted in low 4.
Mine looks like a horse drawn carriage compared to that beautiful truck.

Thanks, I really like it. Actually made the first payment today, only 82 more to go...

82 payments, Holy crap  I only do 60 when i buy mine new.
I don't buy them new, I don't do but one payment. Had this one for a couple yrs now, she's done me well, and still looks pretty much like the day i bought it :). The v10 hasn't been too bad compared to diesel. Sure liked my old 7.3 though.

Believe me Lee, I really didn't want to stretch it out that far. I was trying to keep my monthly payments at or below one weeks net pay (didn't quite get there but close). Plus this truck is "used" and I could have gotten a better rate on a new one but no dealerships in my area had one and it was at least an 18 month wait to special order. I plan to make payments for a year (double payments during the busy season when bonuses are good) and then refinance for 60 months and try to get a better rate.

Nice truck, wish I still had mine. I also had the V10 with with 4:30 or something close to that gears.

I had the quad cab version with the 6.0 that everyone loves to hate. If it was maintained properly, and you continue with that, you should get many miles from that motor. I put 290,000kms on mine, and replaced 1 cracked injector in all that time. I also replaced the oil cooler when the deltas started to creep apart, and switched to the H.D. EGR cooler at the same time. Get a digital gauge pod that plugs into the OBDII port and keep an eye on your oil/coolant delta, and your FICM voltage. I used Rotella T6 engine oil and Archoil additive at every fluid change. If you want to run a "tune" in it, don't count on the stock head bolts and head gaskets to take the added pressure.

Enjoy your new truck!

That's sweet.
I had a 99 f350 crew cab in the same colors, it got a spot of rust and I sold it lol.

Not bad for sure. I did loose a plug out of the head a couple summers ago, bought the kit and will do more in the future.
While the gas mileage isn't that great, when you look at the cost of a gas vs diesel I see no reason to own a diesel even when diesel is priced as it should be, unless your pulling heavy loads.

Had a friend that was a Ford tech he said no 6.0 any year unless you want to bulletproof it for 9-10000. Also the 6.4 wasn’t really any better and maybe worse in some ways .
You can do the necessary updates without a lift and be well below 10k. The 6.4 is a decent engine but had a bit of an issue with the regen cycle of fuel flowing past the rings and washing bearings. But alas, Ill just keep driving my oh no 6.0 with no payment.
