Didnt you say it was a painful task?
Similar to a Stihl 361 or a dolmar 6400.
Uncrimp using heat and a pair of side cutters
Drill 6-8 spot welds, removing the cat and associated b.s.
Punch out and deflector nuts and braze them on to the muffler
Recrimp using heat, side cutters and a small hammer

I bought a load of junk for $30. This was in the pile. Swapped a speed feed head on it and traded it for a new alternator for my truck. Still have the rest of the load to run through a consignment sale.

That is a sweet snag. Especially a free one.
Any idea, on plans for it? It looks like it was used on a wrecker.... kinda. Those are usually PTO driven though.
It will go on the front of my 76 GMC 3/4 ton 4X4. This is electric. I have to track down some parts for the brake. Its ready to go other than that.
