Well, I did some more looking into it tonight, all signs point to a very low hour saw. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the original plug.

Similar to a Stihl 361 or a dolmar 6400.
Uncrimp using heat and a pair of side cutters
Drill 6-8 spot welds, removing the cat and associated b.s.
Punch out and deflector nuts and braze them on to the muffler
Recrimp using heat, side cutters and a small hammer

I bought a load of junk for $30. This was in the pile. Swapped a speed feed head on it and traded it for a new alternator for my truck. Still have the rest of the load to run through a consignment sale.

I agree, may have been in a flood as the previous owner installed water drains in the muffler.

That's an oldie but a goodie. If you could find out the amperage of the motor, it should be pretty easy to figure out rated working load.

That is a sweet snag. Especially a free one.
Any idea, on plans for it? It looks like it was used on a wrecker.... kinda. Those are usually PTO driven though.

It will go on the front of my 76 GMC 3/4 ton 4X4. This is electric. I have to track down some parts for the brake. Its ready to go other than that.
