White Oak or Hickory perhaps?

The ends are so weathered that it's hard to tell for sure, but the bark looks like the white oak family, anyway.

I have a strong urge to kill this tree....
It drops its leaves like in the first picture, fully green.
Never had any seeds of sorts that I could tell.

The 11 leaf says White Ash to me. It could be a hybrid of some Ash, as the bark is still strangely smooth for its size and age. Does it get single blade spinners for seed? If it is an Ash and it’s about 10” in diameter it’s to the point where it’s going to really start to grow fast ^3ft or more a year depending on rain and how consistently hot the summer is.

No seeds, yet.
It is just about 10" OD at its base.

It is too close to the house, if its crown wasn't as narrow & slender as it is I would have already cut it down.

It looks to be a perfectly healthy tree, unfortunately it got planted in the wrong place.

Sooner or later it will have to come down as it may jeopardize the safety of our house/roof.

tree of heaven(Ailanthus altissima) or the native European ash(Fraxinus excelsior), particularly when young.

It is a beautiful tree, if only it hadn't been planted so close to the house!

Definitely not white oak, which is what I guessed from the end grain and bark. I'm not at all familiar with pecan, as it's not native here, so the folks that suggested it could very well be correct. I really enjoy learning from everyone else here, especially when it's things I haven't seen or done before. Thanks for posting this!

A freebie me Baby Edna loaded/inherited for taking a friend home from church today!
Looks to be some type of Birch.
Is this Yellow Birch… any ideas?
I have zero point of reference on Birch.
