Looks like a Laurel oak or Darlington Oak. My Dad and I used to collect acorns when we traveled to visit family in the fall. We'd plant them in pots and if they sprouted and survived he'd set them out. His property had a few oaks when they bought it around '71. Now those oaks we planted are 50' and pushing 24" in some cases. One or two are Darlington Oaks from acorns collected in Darlington, SC where my Dad grew up.

I didn't think it was shaggy, hopefully it pig or mockernut.
I picked up 3 massive splits of shaggy for my smoker last week(green) for $3.00...the 3 weigh about 15-18 lbs each!

It looked a little shaggy in the pictures, but there are 3-4 kinds of shag bark, and then some hickories that have similar patterns without the bark peeling. Definitely not oak from what I can see. Lookalikes would be silver maple, if you are not experienced in seeing both kinds of wood, due to the way the bark and wood looks as they rot similarly.

Never seen a hickory nut so closely resemble a pecan...yet here it is!
